Andrew was having a blast at the eye doctor trying on glasses. He doesn't need glasses but his sister Ashleigh does.
Here's the new Ashleigh! She's been struggling with headaches, eye twitches and blurred vision this past month. We found out that she is near sighted. It's not a very strong prescription but the glasses have made a huge difference in her life. She chose out these glasses. We love her in them. They are a deep eggplant purple.
Having fun making caramel apples and eating them. Yum!
Kamren just finished his last cross country race and the kids are having a blast hanging out with one of our friends.
Here goes Kam!!
We always try to make it a tradition to do a farm experience in the fall. We found a new place through groupon and we loved it!
The kids loved going down the slide.
Andrew loved trying to hit a target with small pumpkins.
It was fun to pet all the animals at the farm and taking photos.
All the kids tried the zipline. It was small but they all loved it.
Ashleigh found this costume that Brynn is wearing at a neighborhood garage sale for 4 dollars. It was brand new. Brynn is our Hollywood star! My grandma Edith just passed away and my mom said she always dressed up as a Hollywood star. This is an honor and tribute to her!
The girls still enjoy making the rubber bracelets. Ashleigh has picked up on making some new styles.
We all love the fall hayrides with apple cider and cinnamon donuts.
My favorite time of the year. I love the Fall colors.
Our family got lost in the corn maze but Kam was able to save us!
Kevin was gone for a week so I tried to come up with some fun activities. The girls wanted to make some chocolate chip cookies. We love eating the dough.
Those cookies were gone in a flash.
I workout and teach at the YMCA. The boys love sitting in the high bar stools watching the kids play on the track. This is our tradition everytime we go. I try to pass it by but they always remind me:)
The girls wanted braided flowers in their hair. You can't really see it but it was so cute and easy to do.
Andrew needed some new shoes and we were searching for a deal. After going to a few stores with the prices a little too high for the budget, Andrew said to say a pray. I said a prayer and a thought came to me to call a second hand store and they had the perfect shoe for the perfect price! They were practically brand new. Andrew is a spiritual boy. He is constantly reminding me to turn to God for help. Andrew is our tender spirit.
BOO!!! We love this tradition. Every year we pick two families in the neighborhood and we leave them treats. The kids picked out two of their friends to boo. It was so much fun to not get caught except Brynn couldn't hold it in and told one of her friends at school that we BOOed them. It's okay! She said she was just too excited to keep it a secret.
Back to the 80's party, here we come. It was fun to make my costume and really think back about the 80's. There were some fun times back then. I feel like I'm getting old.
Ashleigh, Brynn and Andrew did great at their annual primary program. All of them memorized their parts with a bribe of a candy bar. It's amazing what they will do for a treat. Ashleigh wrote her own talk and did a great job. She sang all of the songs so beautifully. Brynn said "I can live with Heavenly Father again if I am obedient." Brynn sang with the biggest and happiest smile ever. Andrew said, "Jesus Christ is our Savior". Andrew was so fun to watch as he would sing and then he would wave and then he would smile and then he would sway back and forth. Primary Programs are our favorite sacrament meetings.
We just got booed!!! We were carving our pumpkins and then we got booed. The kids were so excited.
Brynn was loving all the treasures we got in our boo bag.
Kevin was Richard Simmons and I was a fame girl. Too much fun! I actually have memories of doing the Richards Simmons tapes with my mom in the living room.
Carving pumpkins was great this year. Kam got to use a stryker tool to carve his pumpkin out. He loved that.
I love love love Ashleigh in glasses. She is a cutie!
Ashleigh, Brynn and I each have the same color vest. They still like to dress like their mom!
It's a roundup night at our elementary school. The girls had fun dressing up like cowgirls. It was fun to have lots of western games and activities. I was able to help with the ticket desk while the kids played games and danced.
They loved being with their friends. Ya'll come join us now!
Connor has special visits every six weeks to help him with his language. These visits will only last until he is three. He is doing great and Andrew loves to help him with all the activities he has. The helper said Connor will be fine, he just had too many siblings talking for him. Since the kids have been in school Connor is really progressing.
Whew! We made it a week without Kevin. He was so lucky to go to San Francisco for work and explore one of my favorite places. He brought them back my favorite treat, Ghiradeli chocolate.
Brynn cut this out all by herself!
Connor loved painting his.
Happy Halloween. It literally rained all day and then it let up for a few hours and started raining again. Connor is our little dragon,Brynn is our hollywood star, Kam is our hunter, Andrew is Mr. Potato Head, and Ashleigh is Cleopatra.
Here are the jack o lanterns. You can't see Ashleigh's and Andrew's that well but they were so cool. Ashleigh drilled flowers all through the pumpkin and Andrew made a pumpkin face drilling holes.
We went to a Halloween Stryker party for an hour a few days before Halloween with some of our friends.
We haven't done Home Depot crafts in a long time but it was fun to make a boat today.
Andrew and Connor hammered in all of their nails and painted it too. They are growing up.
Sweet Cleopatras!
We don't get nice October weather that often so we try to take advantage of it. Connor was loving the trucks at Andrew's preschool.
These boys are the best of friends. I'm so glad I have two boys together.
Connor absolutely loved Halloween this year. He knew how good candy really tasted this time.
Andrew was given this costume by our neighbors this summer and he remembered that it was given to us. He was the cutest potato head ever.
Brynn finished her first season of soccer and she's ready for the Spring season.
I helped watch one of my friends children in church one Sunday and she surprised us with all of these pringles! She works for Kellogg and they just bought out pringles! The kids were in heaven.
Happy Halloween Dinner. We spaghetti for witches hair, sauce for dracula's blood, garlic bread for tombstone, salad for lily pads, pickles for witches fingers, brocolli for witches broom, root beer for witches brew, grapes for goblins eyeballs. Its fun to do this tradition and we also have hot dogs another night for the tradition I grew up with.
Brynn and Connor are putting the grapes in their eyes. Spooky days are now over.
