Brynn's Birthday and more...

Brynn and Ashleigh truly are best friends and they love to dress alike everyday.  It's so sweet.  I made these skirts to wear for church.  So easy!
One of my friends inspired me with this garland.  I love to decorate the house with Fall stuff.
Orange has been my favorite color these past few years.  I love these boys in these sweaters. Connor loves to follow Andrew everywhere he goes.
Wait!!! I want to go to school too!
My craft group made these this month.   I did the more rustic colors to go with my FALL theme.
We have three bedrooms in our home so we are now getting a fourth room down in the basement for Kam. He is so excited.
Ashleigh decorated the house for Brynn and made her the sweetest card for her birthday.
This is our poor mailbox with overgrown plants.  I wanted to do something about it for a while.
Tadah!!! I just had to add some fresh paint, new mulch and a few simple plants.  I love the look so much better.  The plants are Little Henry's.  I love the fall color leaves on it and it blooms pretty white flowers in the summer.
I took this picture of Connor on our back deck.  Oh, I love his curled up toes.  He is such a happy little boy and babbles lots.
Brynn is now six!! She loved opening her presents in the morning on her birthday.  She chose breakfast cake and eggs with orange juice for breakfast.  We had tacos for dinner and even had a special visit from our Aunt Dolly, Uncle McKay and Annie.
Kamren is now our clarinet boy!  He loves to play his clarinet after playing the piano for a few years.
Kam still loves soccer.  Kevin continues to be his coach, but next year Kamren really wants to play football and it's the same season.

We just got some beadboard put up.  It makes the dining room so much brighter.
Brynn had a butterfly party. Ashleigh helped me make the cake.

She loved her time with her friends.  We did crafts almost the whole time.  Ashleigh and I painted butterflies on their cheeks.  They all got butterfly wings and decorated a few butterfly crafts.

We ate all the food from the Hungry Caterpillar book.  I read it to them and then they ate it and became butterflies!
Brynn sure loved all of her presents.
Here is the other side of the dining room.
Ashleigh and Kamren were so sweet to decorate the dining room for Kevin on his birthday.

Ashleigh has started her first year of soccer and loves it so much.  Eliza is her buddy.
We love cheering her on and Kam loves to play with his friends while we are there.
Here we come Hawaii!  Our next family reunion trip for Kevin's side of the family is in Hawaii.  We can't believe it.
Ashleigh is our fashion girl.  She was so happy to put this outfit together.
Kam loved cross country this year.  He loves running and setting goals.  These are his two good friends who ran on his team.  They placed first place in all the meets for sixth graders.

First Day of School and more...

I forgot the bread at home to feed the ducks, but a sweet lady gave us  two whole loaves that she wasn't going to use.  People are so kind.

This was our last time on the boat with Rhonda.  Connor just loves the speed boat.  He loves watching his siblings tube.

We went bowling with some friends.

And we tried a new restaurant.  The kids would love to go back.  Chicago Style pizza:)
This was our last time at one of our favorite beaches. Connor loves every minute of it!!
Here is our home without crown molding and I changed up the curtains.

Kam is quite the cook at our house.  He is now into making waffles.  Thanks to him all the kids make their own lunches for school.  Even Brynn:)
Andrew is showing his new paracord bracelet that Kam made for him.  He is so proud of it.
So long pack n play.  Here comes my new bed.  We have always put our kids in a twin bed at 20 months but it was getting tight in the girls room so we moved him in his bed and he's doing great.  Not one issue at all!!
I'm sure Connor is happy to be out of this bed. I guess by the fifth child, the crib doesn't have to be fancy, just practical!
It was so dark when Kam left for the bus at 7 a.m. but he couldn't be happier.  He loves middle school.  He loves his independance.
Ashleigh is so confident.  She used to be so shy and she really has blossomed.  She just applied to be on the student council.  She is such a good helper to Brynn.
Brynn is doing great with full day kindergarten.  Young fives last year really helped.  She is as happy as can be.  She really is amazing at all that she needs to do and does it with a smile!
Andrew is doing a preschool with me once a week with some friends.  He is so excited to start this week!
The girls made sure they were on time to school!
Kamren is so into army and military stuff.  I caught him in the backyard just playing like he was in a war.
I know Halloween isn't until next month, but I like to be prepared the month before.  Brynn wanted to be a cowgirl and here she is.  Her costume was 9 dollars to put together.

Andrew is so proud of his preschool shirt he made.

Say goodbye to the yucky bathroom handles int he shower.
Since Connor moved into his bed in the boys room, Kamren has a new room in the basement.  We will build walls soon for him.  It is all army themed and he picked almost everything out!  This is his Christmas and birthday present!
Ashleigh wanted to be Cleopatra for Halloween to match her best friend. I was going to make it but it was going to cost about the same price and buying it. It saved me time! She loves it and decided to pay for it all by herself.
One of our friends did the ironman this weekend so we thought it would be fun to welcome him home!  The kids did a great job.
Here is the new stuff for our bathroom.  I love the brushed bronze look.

Here's the upper one.  Simple things do make a difference.
We just got crown molding put up all throughout our house.  I painted the crown mold, and touched everything up.  Here are the new changed curtains.
This is a brighter picture.  We just got all of our wood painted white too.  It's quite a bit brighter in the home.

Ashleigh loves soccer again even though she is on a different team.  She loves to be the Purple Dragons!

August Summer Days

We had fun visiting a zoo that the kids never go to.  It was Tiger Day so we all wore some kind of stripes in our clothes.
The kids are loving the goats.  Even Connor loved chasing them instead of petting them.
 Here is Tiger Brynn!
Ashleigh didn't want to look like a tiger.  She just wanted pretty hair and got it!
I want to teach the children to love America so we visited the Ford Museum.  Kamren really loved it!  He is our history boy!

We went to a science museum while we waited for our friends to go through the temple.

We went through a small cave on Labor day.  We were quite scared of the bat that kept flying around.
We are loving the 50 cent ice cream cones at Burger King.  Connor is so tired that he's not enjoying it.  I'll eat his:)

Connor could sleep with his lawn mower.  He goes out on the deck everyday to push the lawn mower.  He tries to bring it everywhere we go.

His newest thing is turning on and off the light.  He loves the one especially in the front room because he can reach it.

Ash helped me paint the dresser for the boys.  It took four coats of red paint.  Yikes!
I was tired of the oak looking dresser that we've had for years and I painted it red with the paint I already had and got new handles.  So fun.  I spray painted the shelf above it black.  It used to be red but needed a new change .
Kam just got his Tenderfoot and 2nd class in scouts.  Woohoo Kam!
Ashleigh is cooking like crazy.  She loves to make eggs, pancakes, cake, oatmeal brulee, cookies, and whatever is sweet.  She is our new cook!
The is the waterfall outside of the cave.  The weather was just perfect today.

Connor loved being with daddy at the beach.  Everyone got a little burnt but by the morning it was all tan except dad.  He has the pink skin.
We found some clay at the river nearby and they all decided to put it all over their bodies.  It was so funny.   Alot of people at the beach have fun with the clay!  It's great sunscreen!

We went to the dunes first before the beach and definitely got a workout. Our summer days are over and school has begun.
